A graduate of the Commercial photography program at Dawson Institue of Photography in 1996, he has primarily worked for The Canadian Press in bureaus across Canada, including Calgary, Toronto and now Ottawa where he is presently based.
His photography has won awards and been featured in a wide range of Canadian newspapers and magazines through The Canadian Press, and internationally through the Associated Press.
Adrian was instrumental in developing CP’s remote editing system which allowed editors to work on and transmit photographers images from a separate location. This live-editing capability decreased the delivery time of images to clients and allowed the company to remain competitive in the industry.
He is presently working to increase the use of drones as a tool for the news photographer. He holds Transport Canada’s – Small Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) certification and the Radio Operators Certificate – Aeronautical (ROC-A). Qualifications which give him a better understanding of the safety and planning involved with aerial operations.
